All types of human samples can be analyzed with OmicEra’s proteomics pipeline, including cohorts of hundreds or thousands of plasma/serum, CSF and urine samples, isolated cells and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) or fresh frozen tissues.
Robotic sample preparation enables scalability and high reproducibility of protein extraction, denaturation, enzymatic digestion to peptides and purification. Complete automation further allows trackability of samples throughout OmicEra’s pipeline.
The peptide mixture from each sample is separated by an ultra-robust liquid chromatography (LC) system and then analysed with a cutting-edge mass spectrometer. The large volumes of raw data generated contain information of mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) and signal intensities of hundreds of thousands of ions.
Our high-end software pipeline includes novel AI-powered database search engines and optimized quantification algorithms. As a result, the raw data are converted to quantitative peptide and protein information.
The quantitative protein information is subjected to OmicEra´s next generation bioinformatics pipeline that is based on both Open Source and proprietary tools, including robust statistical analysis, the latest machine learning algorithms and a clinical graph database for maximized information extraction.
